Appraiser Training

Appraisers will be invited to join the new Destination Imagination online
training system in December. The details of the Appraiser LMS sign-on
procedure are being developed and will be announced in November. Team
Managers who are also Appraisers will not be permitted to take the online
training and will need to attend a local training as the system does not
allow Team Managers to view Appraiser training.

Challenge Selection

Remember that you must select your challenge separately this year. If you
have not already done so, you should select one soon to give your team
enough time to create your solution. For help with the process there are
directions here
<https://www.destinationimagination.org/challenge-program/faq/> on
DestinationImagination.org. Under the FAQ page you'll see "Getting Started"
and a series of questions. Click to expand "I just purchased a team number.
How do I view and select a challenge?" and the one-sheet will be hyperlinked
as "step-by-step guide" in the answer.

Don't Forget Instant Challenge!

Instant Challenge counts for 25% of your Team's total score at Tournament.
Teams should practice IC at every meeting! The Roadmap that came with your
Program Materials is full of great Instant Challenges. You will also find a
set of Practice Instant Challenges in the

=476aecfd5f&e=cdf241c009> DI Resource Area.

Remember that Instant Challenges are designed to be done with common
materials. If you don't happen to have a material mentioned, you can
substitute. It can change the challenge and take your team in a new and
interesting direction.

If you prefer to have a kit, Georgia Destination Imagination has put
together kits that include all of the materials need for all of the Instant
Challenges posed in the 2017-2018 RoadMap. These kits are available for
sale in their GA DI Store (click

home.

General Instant Challenge Kits are also available at Nasco, which is a
global education supply company. 5 different general kits are available.
If you choose to order from them, make sure you ask about the 5% donation
that would come back to Florida DI.
