We have an exciting opportunity for our Florida friends!

Destination Imagination and Lumen Technologies have teamed up to bring you
the imagineXperience. The imagineXperience was created to help K-12 students
living in underserved communities recover from pandemic-induced
instructional loss and build the critical skills they will need to thrive in
the digital economy of the future. Qualifying teams use research,
storytelling, and technology to create digital solutions to a unique
challenge meant to push their boundaries, work together and have fun. On
average, imagineXperience participants have shown a positive increase in
their confidence to express ideas, present in front of groups, work in
teams, as well as the confidence to explore subjects such as computer
science, AI, and robotics.

Thanks to the generous support of Lumen Technologies, all registration fees
are covered in full. Beyond that, qualifying organizations can receive up to
$500 in additional support funding for every team that they host.

Students in K-12 are eligible to participate in teams of 5-7 students. The
challenge will begin in January with solutions submitted in mid-March.

The CHALLENGE is to create an original story showing an encounter of a
Notable Enigma by an Innovator from history. Add in an Intelligent Gizmo to
help assist in the encounter and present the story in the style of a
Docudrama Video.

Don't forget to visit Florida DI at Maker Faire
<https://www.makerfaireorlando.com/> in Orlando, November 13 and 14. We
invite you to build a "Tall Tower" or create a "Climbing Critter" for us.
Our challenges are bagged this year, so that you can work at our site or
bring them home to minimize contact. Our volunteers are vaccinated and will
be masked, so that you can enjoy the challenges.
