Please note that this date is much earlier than last year so plan accordingly. (We want teams to be able to complete their chosen challenge to present to us!) <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>CHALLENGE PURCHASE: </b>Challenges will be available for download on September 1. For returning teams, be aware that DIHQ has changed the challenge ordering process. The DI membership fee will be $105 for all challenges (including Rising Stars). We are told that price will be in effect for the next 3 years.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Team managers will have access to the requirements of all the challenges, but may only select 1 challenge to download. You would be allowed to switch challenges just 1 time. You may choose to have only electronic copies of materials or have a printed set mailed to you. You will only receive your selected challenge (along with Rules of the Road, and Roadmap).<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Florida Affiliate fee of $45 remains the same and will be collected at the time you order your membership. This covers our affiliate operating costs as well as tournament expenses (medals, Instant Challenge supplies, etc.)<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='color:black'>MATERIAL SUPPLIES: </span></b><span style='color:black'>Annette Rogers of the Georgia affiliate puts together boxes of the material supplies listed in the RoadMap for the year’s IC practice activities as a convenience for their teams, with these </span><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'>Kit modifications: </span><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'>“We do not include the ream of paper (because of shipping costs), the towels, hand towels, wash cloths, Hula Hoop nor yardstick. We add a roll of masking tape, a pencil sharpener, a glue stick and a creativity sticker. We include only a pair of adult (TM) scissors in the kits. We only provide 1 pack of markers (Crayola).”<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>The materials lists are all commonly available supplies. They charge $35 which is close to the cost of materials. She will list the kits for sale on the Georgia webpage: <a href="http://www.gadi.org">www.gadi.org</a></span> under the SHOP icon. She is going to try to fit supplies into a medium rate flat Priority Mail box, so there would be an extra $13 shipping. Again, all of the supplies are commonly available materials, but if you are looking for convenience, this may be an option of interest to you.<span style='color:black'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>TRAINING: </b>We hope to have virtual Team Manager trainings this year. My thought is to conduct short, monthly sessions. If you have suggestions of days/times to conduct these, we would appreciate the input. Team Managers will also be invited to attend electronic Georgia trainings as they occur. Other Team Manager training is available through DI University in the Resource area at <a href="http://www.destinationimagination.org"><span style='color:#0563C1'>www.destinationimagination.org</span></a> . California DI also has some great training that you can access through their website. Volunteer training may also be done virtually, near tournament time with final training the day of the tournament.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>FOR FUN: </b>Our design the Florida pin and tee shirt offer will be open until December 1.
